WSSO Sinfonia, Chamber & Soloists

For string players in years 7 to 12

Soloists – Natalie Sharp

The aim of WSSO chamber and sinfonia players is to provide a social environment for string playing for school age students. Concerts are held each term.

Soloists is a collaborative ensemble with our highest level players performing with excellent musicians – Rosanna, Julian and Natalie Sharp. Soloists perform music ranging from Vivaldi concerti to contempory world music.

Rehearsals are held every Saturday during school term at 57 Carwoola St, Bardon:

Rehearsal Times

12 noon until 1:45pm for the Sinfonia orchestra

2pm until 3:45pm for the Chamber orchestra

3:45pm until 5:30pm for the Soloists

Membership of the orchestra is by audition – see the Registration page for details.

  • Players are welcome to join for the year or for a term.

The basic standards are as follows:

Sinfonia AMEB grade 3-5 approximately

Chamber AMEB grades 5-7 approximately

Soloists AMEB grade 7 and above
