WSSO Soloists

For string players in years 7 to 12 (???)

The aim of WSSO is to provide a social environment for string playing for secondary students. Concerts are held each term. (???)

Soloists is a collaborative ensemble with our highest level players performing with excellent musicians- Rosanna, Julian and Natalie Sharp. Soloists perform music ranging from Vivaldi concerti to contempory world music.

Rehearsals are held every Saturday during school term at 57 Carwoola St, Bardon:

3:45pm until 5:30pm for the Soloists

Membership of the orchestra is by audition – see the Registration page for details.

  • Players are welcome to join for the year or for a term.

The basic standards are as follows:
Sinfonia – Approximately AMEB Grades 3-5 | Chamber – AMEB Grades 5 and over
